Having your work recognized and awarded in National design competitions is a very effective and hassle free method of self-promotion. If you haven't ever entered any, I highly encourage you to!
The entry deadlines for the 365: AIGA Annual Design Competition and the 50 Books/50 Covers of 2008 design competition are here. The deadline for both is this Friday, March 6. If you cannot make it by this Friday, check the site next week to see if they've extended the deadline. (Very often the case for design competitions)
Feel free to contact me if you'd like help getting your materials prepared or have any questions about the entry forms. Again, the Design Department will reimburse you for you entry fee if you submit an invoice to the Design Chair. (Wow, thanks MCAD!)
